How to spend a Saturday in the Northern Quarter

A loose itinerary for coffee, crates, galleries, and an evening that still feels local.

Start late enough that Afflecks is awake. Coffee first, then a slow walk with no destination — the NQ rewards that.

If the record fair is on, give it an hour. If not, duck into a bookshop and leave with something heavier than you meant to buy.

Late afternoon is for a gallery or a brewery yard. Evening: jazz if you can get in, open mic if you want the room to feel smaller, or just a corner table and people-watching.
