Christmas Carol Singalong
Classic carols and festive favourites with West End star Louise Dearman — the night before Christmas Eve.
The night before Christmas Eve, Bridgewater Hall fills with carols and the secular songs everyone pretends they only know the first verse of. Louise Dearman, a West End voice with the range for both, leads the singalong. Song sheets go round so the second verses actually happen, and the hall’s acoustic does the rest.
It is one night only, 23 December, from 7pm. Lower Mosley Street is already dressed for the markets by then, so leave extra time to get across town. If you want Silent Night sung in a room that can hold it, this is the booking. The pleasure is a few hundred people committing to the same chorus without a screen telling them when. Check tickets, and bring the relative who claims they do not sing. They will.
