Christmas Musical Spectacular
Michael Ball, Loren Allred, Keala Settle and more — West End anthems with Manchester Camerata at the AO Arena.
The Christmas Musical Spectacular puts a bench of West End voices in the AO Arena with Manchester Camerata underneath them. Michael Ball, Loren Allred and Keala Settle are among the names, and Aled Jones hosts across two nights, 22 and 23 December. The brief is anthems. Show tunes people already sing in the car, arranged so a full orchestra and a huge room can carry them.
Tickets start at £75. The arena is built for volume and light, so this is a night for singing along rather than sitting in hush. Hunt’s Bank is a short walk from Victoria. The earlier of the two evenings starts at 5.30pm, which suits people who want to be out before the last tram scramble. Leave the friend who needs silence at home, and bring the one who already knows the bridge.
