The Good Clothes Show
Independent fashion, vintage, workshops and catwalks under one Manchester Central roof.
The Good Clothes Show fills Manchester Central for a weekend of independent fashion, vintage, workshops and catwalks. Makers who sew their own patterns sit alongside vintage dealers and designers small enough to talk to. The catwalks punctuate the day. The workshops are there if you want to leave knowing how to mend a seam as well as how to buy a jacket.
It runs Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 November at the old station on Windmill Street, a few minutes from St Peter’s Square. Check tickets before you travel. Give it time. A hall of makers is slow in the best way if you stop and ask where a piece came from, and rushed if you only walk the aisles. It suits people who thrift, people who sew, and anyone who wants a jumper that did not come off the same rail as everyone else’s. The building is huge, so start at one end and work across rather than looping until you are lost.
