Kneecap — Fenian World Tour
Belfast’s chaotic hip-hop trio bring the Fenian album to Depot Mayfield for a Warehouse Project special.
Kneecap bring the Fenian World Tour to Depot Mayfield, a Warehouse Project booking for the Belfast hip-hop trio. The records switch between Irish and English, the subject matter is political, and the live show is funny in the same breath as it is furious. Mo Chara, Móglaí Bap and DJ Próvaí treat a crowd as part of the arrangement. Mayfield, all concrete and height behind Piccadilly, gives them a room big enough for the noise.
Thursday 3 December, from 7pm to 11. Check tickets. This is a standing warehouse night, so the energy comes off the floor as much as off the stage. If you only know the film, the gig is faster and less interested in explaining the references. Go in knowing a few of the hooks. You will need them. The crowd does not really do a quiet moment, and the trio do not offer one. Baring Street. Earplugs are a reasonable idea. Chill is not on the bill.
