Manford's Comedy Club at Poynton
Mike Wilkinson, Daisy Earl and Adam Anwar.
Manford’s Comedy Club sets up in the Vernon Suite at Poynton Workmen’s Club with Mike Wilkinson, Daisy Earl and Adam Anwar on the bill. Jason Manford’s club brand in a workmen’s club room is a better fit than it sounds: a proper lineup, a bar you can get to, and an audience that came to laugh rather than to be seen laughing. Three acts means the evening has a shape, with openers earning the room before the headline.
Friday 11 December, doors from 7pm, through to about 11. Tickets are on See Tickets, so sort them before you travel rather than hoping the door has spares. Park Lane, Poynton. The suite is large enough for a comedy club and small enough that a quiet joke still carries. Arrive for the doors if you want a seat facing the stage. The first act is worth hearing from the start, and the bar is calmer before the room commits to the night.
