Michelle Lee at Elton Fold

Mixed covers, with free entry.

Michelle Lee is back at Elton Fold Working Men’s Club, the room people still call the Klondike, for a night of mixed covers. Free entry, a singer, and a set drawn from songs the floor already knows. It is a club Saturday in the straightforward sense: no ticket hunt, a bar, and regulars who treat a covers night as part of the week rather than a one-off.

She is on from 9pm to about half eleven on 7 November. The club is on Leigh Lane in Bury, north of the city and a destination in its own right if you live on that side. Turn up, get a drink, and stay if the set is on. Because it is free, the room can fill with people who only meant to look in, which suits a covers night. The Klondike has been putting voices on for long enough that the audience knows when to listen and when to join the chorus. This is one of those bookings.
