Blazing Sadler’s is a social ride from The Pilcrow in Cutting Room Square. Track bikes, fixies and Sunday-coffee bikes are all welcome. The route rolls out of Ancoats, loops the canals, and finishes back at the pub, which is the correct shape for a club run that cares more about the company than the average speed. Free, and listed so that new people can join without knowing anyone.
Monday 9 November, from 11am to mid-afternoon. The Pilcrow is on the Ancoats side of the Northern Quarter, easy to find and a good place to wait if you are early. Bring a bike that works, lights if the afternoon closes in, and a lock for the pub at the end. Nobody is collecting segment times. If you are new to the group, the canal loop is how you spend the ride and the bar is where you decide whether you will come again. Mudguards are a kindness to the person behind you. A bell is a kindness to everyone else on the towpath.
