RHS Glow at Garden Bridgewater

A new after-dark trail through the gardens — interactive lights, soundscapes, and a playground of colour.

RHS Glow is an after-dark trail through RHS Garden Bridgewater in Worsley. Interactive lights, soundscapes and blocks of colour run through the gardens, which are still young by botanic-garden standards and wide enough that a light trail has room to breathe. You walk it on paths between the planting, with the glasshouse and the lake doing their own work once the installations thin out.

It runs from 26 November to 30 December, and it is pre-book only. You cannot turn up and hope. Super Off Peak slots are the quieter ones if your diary can stretch to them. The popular evenings sell because the gardens photograph well and because a light trail in Salford is easier than a drive to a stately home in the middle of nowhere. Wrap up. Occupation Road is the address, and the walk from the car park or the drop-off is part of the cold. Allow a proper hour on the trail. The sparkle is the garden’s. Your job is a coat, a ticket, and enough patience to let a section finish before you move on.
