Tiësto at The Warehouse Project
First WHP set ever — and Tiësto’s first Manchester night in 13 years closes out the 20th season hard.
Tiësto plays The Warehouse Project for the first time, and plays Manchester for the first time in 13 years, closing the 20th season at Depot Mayfield. The early records are trance. The later shows are big-room. This night holds both, in a warehouse that does not ask a headliner to ease anyone in. The drops arrive. The floor is there for them.
Friday 11 December, from 9pm through to 4am. Check tickets. Mayfield, on Baring Street behind Piccadilly, will be packed for a booking with this much history attached, and the 20th season gives the night an extra reason to feel like an ending. Wear what you can dance in for hours, and treat the queue as part of the cold. Inside, the room runs hot and the set runs long. If you grew up on the trance singles, they are the thread. If you know him from the festival main stage, the scale of Mayfield is the closer comparison. Either way, it is a late one. The last tram is not the plan. The plan is the music until the early morning.
